Description
The REB clamp (part number REB-IP) is a small, lightweight die-cast aluminum clamp for grounding and bonding small containers, drums, totes, machinery and personnel. A heavy gauge spring and stainless steel points help the clamp penetrate paint or corrosion and create a secure bond to the bare metal. It is available on its own or with an STS grounding cable, and it is a clamp option for the STS 300 Ground Monitoring System.
Where it is used
STS lists the REB for drums and totes. Its small size suits container filling and equipment bonding in plants such as chemical processing, grain and powder processing and food and beverage.

With an STS 300
Connected to an STS 300, the REB becomes part of a continuously monitored ground path: green means a proper ground is made, red means the ground is interrupted, and the dry contacts can stop the transfer. In the STS 300 ordering guide, the REB is clamp code RB. When the system is not in use, the REB-IP can be stowed on the STS Clamp Stowage Plate or Multipoint Clamp Stowage Plate.
