Clamp Stowage Plate
The Clamp Stowage Plate (part number RK-11) gives the operator a fixed place to attach the grounding clamp when the STS 300 Ground Monitoring System is not in use. Stowing the clamp on the plate eliminates the possibility of stowing it in a way that impacts its function, and keeps it from being damaged by being left on the ground.
Compatible clamps
The stowage plate accepts the K78160A, K78160ASRS, REB-IP and GAT-IP clamps.
Installation
The plate mounts to the STS 300 enclosure using existing enclosure bolts. Installation hardware is included. From the STS installation instructions:
- Remove the contents from the kit bag.
- Remove the two bottom or side center bolts on the enclosure.
- Place the stowage plate over the cover and align the two mounting holes.
- Add the two 5/16 in flat washers (supplied) and replace the bolts.
- Tighten the bolts to 11 ft-lb. Do not overtighten.

Do I need to drill the enclosure?
No. The plate uses the existing enclosure bolts, with two supplied flat washers.

Retractable Reel
STS retractable reel provides optimum cable management by retracting the cable for safe storage between uses. Avoids the risk of damage and premature wear of your grounding cables. If purchased with a grounding station, a quick connect is installed to make installation easier and faster than ever. All reels are supplied with a field adjustable cable stop, so operators can custom set how much cable is retracted.

Standard Duty Retracting Reel
Heavy Duty
Built entirely out of steel, the heavy duty retractable reel is optimal for harsh environments where excessive wear and tear may occur. Easy to install and easy to operate, this can use cable lengths from 25 ft. to 100 ft. The reels have either fully automatic or ratchet controlled spring rewind. This rugged and watertight design is best for applications such as mounted to trucks or not protected by a roof.
Standard Duty
Our standard duty retractable reel is built from cast aluminum, which is lighter and smaller than our heavy duty reel. Easy to install and easy to operate, this can use cable lengths from 25 ft. to 50 ft. Our standard duty reels have ratchet controlled spring rewind for precise distances. Built to meet a NEMA 4 rating, this style reel is best for areas where there is slight protection from physical damage, such as on the ceiling or behind a concrete barricade.
Deadman Control
This option is offered to insure an operator has not left a product transfer process unattended. The Deadman Control includes a separate cable with one of two style handles (DMS-14 or DMS-15).

Aluminum Deadman Control
Standard
Our standard Deadman Control option requires the handle to be activated in addition to an acceptable ground to enable the permissive interlock circuits in the ground monitoring system. As soon as an operator depresses the handle, the system will open all contacts and indicate a red light.
Timing Feature
The enhanced Deadman option is to also have an integrated timer to ensure the operator has not defeated the deadman control by tampering with the handle. After an adjustable time delay (15 seconds to 10 minutes) the operator must reactivate the handle to continue.
