STS 300 Ground Monitoring System

The STS 300 Series Electronic Indicating Ground System provides an economically viable way to protect personnel, equipment, material, and plant operations from catastrophic damage when an electrostatic discharge occurs in hazardous locations where flammable fluids, vapors, and dust are present. Using an intrinsically safe monitoring circuit with a grounding cable and clamp, the operator will observe a green light to indicate that a proper ground connection is made. The STS 300 continuously monitors the path from the clamp to ground, and at any time if the circuit is broken, or the ground is interrupted, the system will display a red light.

The STS 300 Ground Monitoring System provides two interlocking dry contacts for connection to filling equipment and controls to ensure no transfer of flammable product can begin without an established ground. If the system cannot verify a proper ground, all equipment will be halted until the ground is re-established.

Common controls integration includes the STS 300 starting or stopping pumps, opening or closing valves and sounding alarms. Red and green lights indicate when proper grounding conditions are met.

Standard options for the STS 300 System include a wide variety of grounding clamps, straight or self-coiling cord, and various cord storage retracting reels.

STS 300 Multipoint Ground Monitoring System

The same reliability and features as the STS 300 with the convenience of simultaneous grounding of up to four pieces of equipment. The STS 300 Multipoint provides operators with a single control device and will only operate when all cables are successfully connected, to ensure multiple pieces of equipment are safely grounded. Ground cables are available in multiple types and lengths. In addition to green and red grounded indicators, the STS 300 Multipoint can also be utilized to turn equipment off if the ground is interrupted. This is an ideal and cost-effective solution for work areas that typically involve multiple pieces of equipment that are utilized at the same time.
